Below are directions for the Columbia PC meeting. For those who are not able to attend but were hoping to be reached by phone, it isn't clear at this point whether or not the rooms that are available have phone capabilities. If the option does become available, I will send out a phone number once I have that info.

Directions:

The PC meeting is scheduled to take place in 825 in the Seeley W. Mudd Building at the North end of Columbia's campus. The building is 500 W. 120th Street (South side of 120th street between Broadway and Amsterdam Ave, closer to Amsterdam). If you take a cab, get dropped off there. When you go into the building, you should see several vending machines on the ground floor. Skip to "Once inside Mudd"

To get to Columbia by public bus, take any bus that runs up Broadway or Amsterdam Avenues up to 120th Street (I believe the M4, M5, M11, M60 and M104 all go that far - they go at least as far as 116th Street). You'll need $1.50 in change or a metrocard. Follow directions above if you get off at 120th, below if you get off at 116th

To get to Columbia by subway (from Midtown Manhattan which is where Infocom is held as well as is the location of Penn Station, Grand Central), you need to wind up on the uptown 1 or 9 train and get off at 116th Street. This will drop you off at Broadway and 116th. Take the station exit to the right. You will be on the east side of the street at Broadway. Enter into the campus and head North (toward the famous steps) and keep going North as far as you can go (up the big steps, past the Low Memorial Library. Mudd is the East-most building in the Northmost corner.

There are many different subway trains that have stops at 116th St. You *definitely* want to make sure you are on the 1 or 9 train, as the other trains (A, B, C, D, 2, 3 trains)drop you off on 116th St, but a number of blocks east, in one of the less safe sections of the city. http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/maps/submap.htm

Once Inside Mudd:

Find the elevators and take any elevator to the 8th floor. Exit the elevator to your right, then make another immediate right down the hallway. 825 will be on your right.
